The world o' knitting

The good, the bad, and the ugly

This is a little gift set that I made for my new niece.  I started knitting the first week of November '07.  I've really enjoyed it and have learned quite a bit.  A friend showed me the knit stitch when I was in high school, but I never did anything.  Then this past November I began again, with the help from the internet.  You can find anything here on the net!

I had to learn how to crochet stars for this project.  Again, the internet is a great place to learn things!

Knitted Nessy aka The Loch Ness Monster.  Long story!  But she is very popular on the praying ladies message board!

this is a great site for free knitting patterns!

This site was a real help when I knitted a pair of socks for my DH!!

I have begun a knit along!  Kinda fun!  And challenging!

So far I'm one week into it and no major disasters yet.

I pray a lot while I'm knitting.  During these prayer times I've been led to start knitting baby booties for our local Pregnancy Help Center.  This is a new venture, just getting off the ground.  Praying that this will make a difference in women's lives and save the lives of children.  Praying that it will let them know that there are people who do care. Above all give Glory to God, the creator.

Twining Vine knitted Afghan, it's knit in four sections and then pieced together.  Really pretty!  Taking me forever!  I'm through one section and half way through the second.  I actually set this aside to work on the knit along.  :)
